Our client is seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead a skilled electro-mechanical assembly team producing advanced subsea systems, thrusters and related technology products. This is an exciting prospect for an experienced manufacturing leader who can balance day-to-day production demands with continuous improvement and team development.

Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Lead, mentor and develop a team of assemblers and technicians, driving accountability, teamwork and high performance.
n
Plan daily workloads, allocate resources and manage production schedules to meet customer deadlines.
n
Coordinate production priorities based on demand, project timelines and material availability.
n
Oversee electro-mechanical assembly, wiring, mechanical fit-out, testing and final product quality.
n
Ensure smooth flow of materials, tooling and documentation through all production stages.
n
Monitor production KPIs including throughput, yield, efficiency and on-time delivery.
n
Create and maintain work instructions, SOPs and assembly documentation from engineering drawings and schematics.
n
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and control system issues with the production team.
n




Work closely with Engineering to resolve design, manufacturability and process challenges.
n
Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, quality and compliance across the workshop.
n

What You'll Need:
n
n
5+ years' experience in Production Management, Manufacturing Supervision or similar leadership role.
n
Strong background in electro-mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, testing or mechanical systems.
n
Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate and develop teams.
n
Strong planning, scheduling and workflow management experience.
n
Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics and BOMs.
n
Experience using ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office and production documentation systems.
n
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skills.
n
Exposure to ISO****, Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement advantageous.
n
MUST be a Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen
