Isurava Intake and Support Officer

About the role
n
Arundel or Ipswich
n Full time: $68,000 – $72,000 per year
n

n disengaging from education, family, and community, giving them the tools to build resilience and
n thrive.
n
We are seeking a dedicated Intake and Support Officer to play a vital role in engaging young people
n and their families, coordinating referrals, and ensuring every participant is set up for success in the
n program.
n
What you'll do:
n
n
Be the first point of contact for young people and their families, building trust and guiding them through intake and assessment.
n
Work closely with referrers (schools, QPS, Child Safety, Youth Justice, and community partners) to coordinate assessments and support plans.
n
Develop and maintain accurate participant records in line with Child Protected Standards.
n
Support risk and safety planning with a trauma-aware and culturally responsive approach.
n
Contribute to program outcomes by ensuring robust stakeholder communication and effective case coordination.
n

What we're looking for:
n
n
A diploma or degree in Community Services, Youth Work, Social Work, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
n
Experience in youth engagement, intake, and case coordination.
n
Knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally protected practice, particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.
n
Strong organisational, data management, and administrative skills.
n
Excellent communication and rapport-building skills.
n
A current driver's licence and Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
n
Applicants must have valid work authorisation to work in Australia.
