Job Description

The Bennett Hotel is looking for a passionate and reliable Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

This role suits an experienced chef who's confident running sections during busy service — particularly pans and grill — and comfortable moving across prep, larder, and other areas of the kitchen as needed. Working alongside our Head Chef and senior kitchen team, you'll join a well-established venue known for its strong team culture, quality food, and supportive working workplace.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

n

Running sections, including pans and grill, during service
n
Working flexibly across prep, larder, and other sections as required
n
Preparing and plating dishes to a high, consistent standard
n
Working closely with the Head Chef and kitchen brigade during service
n
Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient workstation
n
Upholding food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance standards
n
Contributing positively to team culture and the overall kitchen environment
n

The Ideal Candidate

Has solid experience in a fast-paced kitchen setting

Is confident across multiple sections, particularly grill and pans
n
Performs well under pressure while maintaining consistency and composure
n
Is reliable, adaptable, and works well as part of a teamCommunicates well and brings a positive attitude to every shift

Takes pride in quality food, presentation, and clean execution

Holds full Australian working rights
