Qualified Mechanic – Family-Owned Workshop

n Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday)

We're a family-owned and operated mechanic workshop known for our quality workmanship, honesty, and personalised customer service. Mordialloc Service Centre has built a robust local reputation, and we're looking for a qualified, experienced mechanic to join our team.

What You'll Do

n

n
Carry out general servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of vehicles
n
Perform logbook servicing in line with manufacturer specifications
n
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using scan tools and diagnostic equipment
n
Complete repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and other mechanical components
n
Conduct vehicle inspections and identify additional work required
n
Communicate findings clearly with the service team
n
Maintain accurate job records, including parts used and work completed
n
Follow all safety procedures and help keep the workshop clean and organised
n




Work as part of a close‐knit team to keep jobs on schedule and customers happy
n

What We're Looking For

n

n
Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent trade qualification)
n
Minimum 3–5 years' experience as a qualified mechanic
n
Robust diagnostic and fault-finding skills
n
Experience working on a variety of makes and models
n
Confidence using hoists, workshop equipment, and scan tools
n
Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
n
Strong attention to detail
n
A current and valid driver's licence (required)
n
Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a busy workshop
n
