About the Role
n
Our client is a large national transport company seeking experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operators to join their busy Karawatha depot.
n
Working in a fast-paced linehaul environment, you will be responsible for the protected and effective loading and unloading of trailers, staging freight for dispatch, and ensuring freight is handled accurately and on time.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
n
Loading and unloading linehaul trucks
n
Staging, sorting and moving freight within the depot
n
Scanning and checking freight where required
n
Maintaining a clean and organised work area
n
Completing pre-start forklift inspections
n
Following safe work procedures and site policies
n
Working effectively as part of a busy operations team
n
Assisting with general warehouse and depot duties as required
n
n
To Be Successful You Will Have
n
n
Current LF Forklift Licence (essential)
n
Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a busy transport or freight depot
n
Experience loading and unloading linehaul trailers
n
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
n
Strong awareness of workplace health and safety requirements
n
Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic
n
Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
n
