About the Role:
n
Most people in construction are either "contracts people" or "finance people." We're after someone who genuinely enjoys both sides of the ledger. You'll administer subcontracts, claims, variations and procurement across a portfolio of office fit-out projects, while owning the financial detail that keeps those same projects on track.
n
You'll bring together contract administration and project accounting in a single role. You'll partner closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors and clients, so as much as this is anumbers-and-contracts role, it's a relationships one too.
n
What you'll be doing:
n
n
Administering subcontracts and progress claims across a portfolio of office fit-out projects,from award through to close-out
n
Owning the financial health of your projects - WIP, revenue recognition, cashflow forecasting and budget tracking
n
Reviewing and processing variations,
claims and extensions of time (EOT), keepingeverything aligned to contract
n
Preparing progress claims, subcontractor invoices and project financial reports forinternal and client stakeholders
n
Supporting cost estimating and budget creation on new projects
n
Keeping project documentation, records and reporting audit-ready, so nothing fallsthrough the cracks at handover
n
Building strong working relationships with project managers, site teams, subcontractorsand clients
n

What you'll bring:
n
n
Certificate or diploma in relevant field, however you do not need to be a
qualifiedCA/CPA/accountant
n
A minimum of 2 years' experience across contracts administration and/or project accounting, ideally within construction or fit-out
n
Knowledge administering standard construction contracts (AS****, AS****, AS****, AS****or similar)
n
Solid understanding of project financials - WIP, budgets, progress claims andcashflow - and the systems that support them
n
Sharp attention to detail, clear communication, and a bias toward ownership overwaiting to be asked
n
n
