We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Chef to join our friendly team at The Ginger Factory in Yandina. This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who takes pride in quality food, works well under pressure, and enjoys being part of a busy cafe setting.

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a cafe, restaurant, or similar quick-paced kitchen environment
n
- A team player with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and pride in delivering consistent, high-quality meals
n
- Looking for 35 hours per week and available to start immediately or by negotiation
n
- Highly organised, reliable, and able to maintain quality and presentation during busy service periods
n
- Confident preparing and cooking menu items, following food safety standards, and keeping the kitchen clean and well organised
n
- Available on a 7‐day rotational roster, including weekdays and weekends,



with no night shifts
n
- Gelato churning experience, or willingness to undertake onsite training as a churner
n
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery preferred, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook cafe menu items to a high standard
n
Support smooth daily kitchen operations during busy service periods
n
Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
n
Assist with stock rotation, ordering input, and minimising waste
n
Work collaboratively with the front-of-house and kitchen team
n
