We're partnering with a well-established national transport and logistics business with decades of market presence and a solid reputation for safety, compliance, and long-term customer relationships. The Queensland operation is a critical part of the national network, and they're now looking for an experienced State Manager to take full ownership of performance, people, and profitability across the state.

The Opportunity
n
This role exists to lead the Queensland operation end-to-end.
n
You'll have accountability for operational performance, financial outcomes, contractor and staff leadership, and customer delivery. You'll work closely with the General Manager and senior leadership, but this is very much a hands-on leadership role where decisions are made locally and ownership sits with you.
n

What you'll be responsible for
n

- Full P&L; ownership for the Queensland operation
n
- Leading and developing operational leaders, staff,



and contractor drivers
n
- Ensuring DIFOT, service levels, and customer expectations are consistently met
n
- Driving cost control, productivity, and operational efficiency
n
- Managing compliance across fatigue, Chain of Responsibility, safety, and legislation
n
- Building strong, trusted relationships with key customers and suppliers
n
- Improving systems, processes, and performance through continuous improvement
n
n

What we're looking for
n

- Proven experience as a State Manager, Senior Operations Manager, or similar
n
- Strong background in transport, logistics, or distribution environments
n
- Commercially minded with solid financial and P&L; understanding
n
- Comfortable leading both employees and contractors
n
- High standards around safety, compliance, and people leadership
n
- Calm under pressure, decisive, and solutions-focused
n
