The Area

Just a short drive along the coast from Hervey Bay on Queensland's Fraser Coast, you will discover beautiful Burrum Heads – where the Burrum River meets the ocean. With beautiful calm waters, the first choice for barramundi fishing, as well being home to turtles and dugongs, it truly is a beautiful spot – a real hidden gem. The Burrum Heads Bowls Club is the first stop in town and is known for its outstanding meals, friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff. The club consists of a restaurant, a beer garden and a public bar, as well as a gaming room with 22 machines.

The Position
n
If you're someone who knows their way around a kitchen, can keep cool under pressure, and wants to be part of a much loved community club, this could be perfect.
n
If you are an experienced, reliable and professional team player we'd love to hear from you. We require flexibility and the availability to work a weekly roster (Tues - Sun). We are offering approx 25 hours per week. Immediate start preferred.

This staff member will be required to perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to providing support to our head chef, club manager and junior staff members.
n
To be successful in this position you must possess:
n
n
Ability to work as part of a team and coordinate tasks with others
n
Have excellent organisational and time management
n
Be able to adapt to changing demands of a kitchen
n
Have high standards in your attention to detail
n
Hold a Certificate lll in commercial cookery
n
n
Responsibilities of this role:
n
n
Prepare ingredients, cook dishes using various techniques (baking, frying, grilling), and present them as instructed.
n
Maintain the quality of dishes at all stages and ensure high standards of taste and presentation.
n
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and equipment cleanliness within the kitchen.
n
