About the role
n We are seeking aPrincipal Hydrogeologist / Geochemistto join ourAustralian
operations,specifically
ourteam in Queensland. This is a senior technical and leadership role suited to an experienced professional (typically 15+ years' experience) who is motivated to take ownership of complex projects, lead multidisciplinary teams and support the continued growth of EHS Support in Queensland.
n
The role will focus primarily on projects within the oil and gas, contaminated sites and groundwater, and mining sectors, while also supporting major industrial and infrastructure clients across Queensland and interstate. You will work closely with other Principals,
seniorleadershipand
our broader national team to deliver technically
robust,pragmaticand
defensible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
n
As a Principal Hydrogeologist / Geochemist, your
responsibilitieswill
include:
n
Technical Leadership
n
n




Providing senior technical oversight and direction on complex groundwater, geochemical and contaminated site projects.
n
Leading development of conceptual site models,fateand transport assessments, andrisk-basedevaluations.
n
Designing and reviewing groundwater monitoring programs, aquifer tests, numericalmodelsand geochemical investigations.
n
Providing expert input into remediation strategies, mine water management,
wastecharacterisationand
closure planning.
n
Reviewing and authoringhigh-qualitytechnical reports suitable for regulators,
auditors,clientsand
legal proceedings.
n

Project Delivery & Management
n
n
Acting as Project Director / Senior Project Manager on major assignments, with responsibility for scope,
programme,budgetand
technical quality.
n
Managing multidisciplinary project teams, including mentoring and technical guidance of junior andmidlevelstaff.
n
Engaging with
regulators,clientsand
stakeholders, providing clear,confidentand defensible technical advice.
n
Business Development & Strategy
n
Supporting growth of the Queensland groundwater and geochemistry capability through business development and client relationships.
n
Identifyingnew opportunities with existing clients and contributing to proposal preparation and strategic pursuits.
n




Working with national service line leaders to align Queensland projects with broader EHS Support capabilities.

About You
n To be successful in this role, you will typically have:
n
n
A tertiary qualification in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science or Engineering, with a postgraduate qualification highly regarded.
n
12+ years' relevant consulting or industry experience, including a strong background in groundwater, geochemistry,
contaminatedsitesand/or
mine water projects.
n
Demonstrated experience leading complex projects and providing senior technical oversight.
n
Strong knowledge of Queensland and Australian environmental regulations and approval processes.
n
Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to
clients,regulatorsand
project teams.
n
