Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Junior Accounts Officer to join our team in Sydney CBD. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts receivable and accounts payable, bank reconciliation, and payroll support.

You will be reporting directly to the Accounts Manager. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development within the organisation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
n
n
Manage day-to-day functions of accounts receivable and accounts payable
n
Perform timely bank reconciliation tasks
n
Accurate data entry and up-to-date financial records
n
Assist with month-end tasks and reports
n
Manage and maintain the accounts in-boxes, ensuring items are actioned in a timely manner. Resolve issues as they arise and respond to suppliers, customers, and other internal and external stakeholders
n
Assist in preparing and lodging quarterly BAS and monthly payroll tax and perform reconciliations
n
Manage payroll functions
n
Perform any other duties as required by the finance team or management to support overall business goals
n

Skills and Experience:
n
n
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
n
Minimum 2 years of work experience as an Accounts Officer or in a similar role
n
Open to communication and team collaborations.
n
Demonstrable knowledge of accounting principles and practices
n
Experienced with Xero Accounting software
n
Good Microsoft Excel skills are highly desirable
n
Analytical and problem-solving skills are desirable
n
Fluency in Mandarin (preferred)
