We're looking for an experienced
Senior Microvellum Drafter / Joinery Detailer
to join our core team and take commercial joinery projects from architectural documentation through
shop drawings, client coordination and production-ready Microvellum detailing
.
This is a senior role for someone who understands not only how to detail joinery, but
how it will be manufactured and installed
.
The Role
Review architectural drawings, specifications and joinery schedules
Produce accurate commercial joinery shop drawings in
Microvellum
Prepare projects for CNC-based manufacturing and production
Develop plans, elevations, sections, set-outs and construction details
Identify discrepancies, constructability issues and missing information before production
Prepare and manage RFIs, drawing revisions and consultant comments
Attend project meetings and
page-turn/shop drawing reviews
with builders, architects and consultants
Communicate directly with clients on drafting, detailing and technical matters
Coordinate closely with our factory and site team to resolve manufacturing and installation issues
Assist in developing and improving our Microvellum libraries and drafting standards
Support junior drafting staff as the team grows
About You




We're looking for someone with:
Minimum 5 years' experience
in joinery drafting/detailing, preferably commercial joinery
Strong, recent
hands-on Microvellum experience
Ability to independently take a joinery package from architectural drawings through shop drawings and into production
Strong understanding of commercial joinery construction, materials, hardware and manufacturing
Understanding of CNC-based production
Confidence dealing with
builders, architects and consultants
Ability to identify problems early and find practical solutions
Strong attention to detail, dimensions and revisions
Good communication and organisational skills
Australian working rights
Experience with commercial fit-outs, offices, schools, healthcare or laboratory joinery will be highly regarded.
