We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified
Carpenter/Carpentry
Tradesperson for a temporary assignment with a local government organisation in Mt Isa.

Location: Mt Isa
n
Duration: 1 June - 30 August - possibility of extention
n
Schedule: Monday to Friday
n
Pay Rate: $***** per hour + superannuation. Overtime and double time availiable
n
n
About the Role
n
This position involves carrying out a broad range of carpentry, maintenance, and construction duties across council facilities and infrastructure. The successful candidate will be capable of working independently or within a small team environment and be willing to undertake cross-trade duties as required.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
n
Framing, installation, and general carpentry works
n
Material preparation and handling




n
Maintenance and repair work across various sites
n
Supporting other trade-related tasks where required
n
Maintaining protected work practices and compliance with WH&S; standards
n
Current Driver's Licence
n
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
n
Multi-skilled with a willingness to undertake cross-trade work
n
Sound computer skills
n
Strong understanding of Workplace Health & Safety requirements
n
Physically capable of lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working at heights or in varying weather conditions
n
Construction industry related trade qualification
n
Current Workplace Health & Safety General Safety Induction Card (White Card)
n
