An excellent opportunity is available for an experiencedAuto Electricianto join a well-established manufacturing and engineering operation in the Newcastle area.
This is a workshop-based position offering varied, hands‐on electrical work acrosscustom vehicle builds, modifications and equipment fit‐outs.
Rather than routine servicing, you'll be involved in projects from initial electrical installation through to testing, fault finding and final completion.
The Role Responsibilities will include:
Electrical fit-out of new vehicle builds and modifications
Installation and wiring of12V and 24V electrical systems
Installation of lighting, batteries, auxiliary power and electrical accessories
Building, installing and modifyingwiring looms and harnesses
Installation of electrical components and control equipment
Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
Electrical testing, diagnostics and fault finding
Rectification and modification of existing electrical systems
Working alongside mechanical, fabrication and production teams
Ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard
About You Ideally, you will have:




Trade qualification as anAuto Electricianor equivalent
Strong experience with12V/24V DC electrical systems
Experience with electrical fit‐out, wiring and fault finding
Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Experience building or modifying wiring looms
Experience withheavy vehicles, trucks, mobile equipment or custom vehicle buildswould be advantageous
Good fault‐finding and problem‐solving ability
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work effectively within a workshop environment
