A government facility on the Bellarine Peninsula is offering a leadership opportunity in our Service Delivery team. We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Catering Manager to lead our corporate catering operations. This exciting opportunity offers a predominantly Monday to Friday schedule, working closely with stakeholders whilst overseeing both kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver exceptional service and high-quality product.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, dining and event venues, ensuring high standards of presentation, food quality, service delivery and compliance
n
Provide hands-on leadership, coaching and supervision to catering teams, including performance management and staff development
n
Foster a positive, high-performing team culture, focused on service excellence
n
Oversee procurement, inventory control and resource management to support effective budget performance
n




Build and maintain solid relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to encourage innovation and continuous improvement
n
Utilise POS and relevant catering software to support operational efficiency and reporting
n

Education, Qualification and Experience Requirements:

n

n
Valid RSA certificate
n
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
n
Experience using industry relevant POS, Stock management and Event Management software
n
Solid leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
n
Demonstrated experience in a similar catering or hospitality management position
n
Formal qualifications in Hospitality or Business Management highly regarded
n
Experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, Venue Manager, Hotel Operations Manager or hospitality business owner will be highly regarded.

Candidate would be expected to work independently under limited guidance and exercise sound qualified judgement to make decisions that impact the work area.
