Due to increased activity within the exploration and geology department, an chance has become available for an experienced Core Yard Technician to support site-based geological programs on an initial 2-month contract.

n

Your new role As a Core Yard Technician, you will play a key role in supporting geological and exploration activities on site.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
Receiving, handling, and organising drill core samples
n
Core tray preparation, labelling, and storage
n
Cutting and sampling drill core in accordance with site procedures
n
Maintaining a clean, secure, and efficient core yard
n
Assisting geologists with sample dispatch and data collection
n
Operating core saws and other core yard equipment
n
Conducting manual handling and lifting of core trays
n




Supporting daily geology and exploration activities as required
n

What you'll need to succeed

n

n
Previous experience working in a core yard, exploration, or mining environment
n
Experience handling and processing drill core
n
Strong commitment to safety and site procedures
n
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
n
Current Australian driver's licence
n
Forklift ticket (desirable)
n
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
n
FIFO experience highly regarded
n
