Brunswick Group is seeking an experienced Executive to join our growing Sydney office.
This role is ideal for an ambitious professional with experience in capital markets, investment banking, corporate finance, transactions advisory, equity research, investor relations, financial communications, or legal advisory roles involving corporate transactions, governance, regulatory matters, shareholder engagement, disputes, or other complex stakeholder situations, who is looking to apply their analytical skills in a dynamic advisory environment.

Our work spans M&A;, shareholder engagement, IPOs, capital raisings, activism defense, crisis and issues management, financial results communications, and broader corporate reputation challenges.
You will work closely with senior Brunswick advisors and corporate leaders across Australia and internationally, helping clients navigate complex strategic situations and communicate effectively with investors, media, regulators, employees, and other stakeholders.

About the Role
Client Contribution & Account Management
Support the development and execution of strategic communications programs for listed companies, financial institutions, investors, and private capital clients
Conduct detailed research and analysis of companies, industries, market dynamics, investor sentiment, and stakeholder perspectives
Draft high-quality client materials, including key messages, briefing documents, Q&As;, investor communications, media materials, presentations, and strategic recommendations
Monitor financial markets, transaction activity, regulatory developments, and broader business trends relevant to clients
Contribute to M&A;, activism, crisis, restructuring, and other special situations mandates
Produce insightful analysis that helps clients anticipate risks and opportunities
Participate in brainstorming sessions, account planning, and new business pitches
Leverage AI tools, research platforms,
and data resources to support client work and improve efficiency
Build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues across Brunswick's global network
Capital Markets & Strategic Advisory
Support client teams advising on transactions, investor engagement, financial results, and significant corporate events
Analyze market reactions, shareholder dynamics, and stakeholder perceptions
Research investors, analysts, and media landscapes to inform communications strategies
Develop a strong understanding of corporate governance, disclosure requirements, and capital markets best practice
Contribute to strategic recommendations for how companies position themselves with investors and other key stakeholders
Contribution to the Firm
Develop robust internal and external relationships across the Australian business, financial, investor, legal, and media communities
Share insights and market intelligence relevant to clients and the broader firm
Participate actively in Brunswick's training and professional development programs
Support business development initiatives and contribute to firm culture
Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and offices globally
Share knowledge, ideas, and market perspectives with colleagues
Contribute to a supportive, entrepreneurial, and high-performing culture
Demonstrate sound judgement, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential client matters
What We're Looking For
We are interested in exceptional candidates with strong analytical skills, commercial judgement, and a genuine interest in business, finance, capital markets, corporate reputation, corporate law, governance, and complex stakeholder situations.
Standout Candidates Will Demonstrate
2-5 years of professional experience in investment banking, equity capital markets, debt capital markets, corporate finance, transaction services, equity research, investor relations, strategy consulting, financial communications, corporate law, M&A;, capital markets, litigation, regulatory, governance, or a related advisory field
Strong understanding of capital markets, corporate transactions, governance, regulatory frameworks, and financial concepts
Ability to analyse complex information and distil insights into clear, compelling communications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
Intellectual curiosity and interest in business, financial, political, legal, and regulatory developments
Strong stakeholder management and client-service orientation
Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
Commercial judgement and problem-solving capability
High levels of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
Experience using financial and research platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, Factiva, or similar tools is advantageous
