Leading Wollongong legal firm, Maguire & McInerney is seeking a motivated solicitor to join our growing litigation team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who enjoys advocacy, strategic thinking and working closely with clients through complex and often life‐changing legal matters.

While our litigation practice is broad, this role has a strong emphasis on personal injury and employment law with exposure to a diverse range of commercial and civil disputes.

In this role:
n

You will work alongside experienced practitioners and have responsibility for managing your own matters.
n
Have exposure to sophisticated and complex litigation personal injury claims including motor vehicle and public liability matters, employment law advice and acting in disputes between employees and employers.
n
Provide practical commercially focused advice to clients.
n

Be exposed to Court and Tribunal appearances.

Experience and qualifications
n
n
Minimum of 2 years experience in litigation.
n
Capable of working semi‐autonomously,
under the supervision of the litigation partner.
n
Ability to analyse legal issues, identify key legal principles, and apply them to specific cases or situations.
n
Experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing high‐quality legal advice and counsel.
