A leading Australian energy market participant is seeking a Data Analyst to join its growing team.

Working closely with energy market team, you'll help build and maintain the data infrastructure that supports market analysis, forecasting, reporting and commercial decision-making across the NEM.

Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Build and maintain data pipelines using AEMO and market datasets
n
Automate data collection, processing and reporting workflows
n
Support market analysis, forecasting and trading activities through high-quality data solutions
n
Develop and enhance cloud-based data platforms and tools
n
Partner with trading, commercial and analytics teams to deliver data-driven insights
n
Improve data quality, reliability and engineering standards across the business
n
n
Experience
n
n
4+ years' experience in Data Engineering or Data Analytics within the energy space
n
Strong understanding of the National Electricity Market (NEM)
n
Experience working with AEMO data, including Dispatch and Settlements
n
Robust Python and SQL skills
n
Experience with Azure, cloud platforms, ETL/ELT processes or data orchestration tools
n
Energy market or renewables mandatory
n
