Light Vehicle Mechanic

Grand Motors is seeking a qualified and experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our growing team in Melbourne, Victoria.

n

This is a full-time permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to work in a skilled workshop with modern equipment and a supportive team environment.

n

$80,000 – $90,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience.

n

About the Role

n

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

n

n
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in light vehicles.
n
Performing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
n
Repairing engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, braking systems and other vehicle components.
n
Conducting vehicle inspections and identifying repair requirements.
n
Using diagnostic equipment to accurately identify faults.
n
Testing vehicles after repairs to ensure safety and performance.
n
Maintaining accurate service records and job documentation.
n




Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
n

Essential Requirements

n

n
Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
n
At least 2 years of relevant post-qualification work experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic.
n
Solid diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
n
Ability to work independently and within a team.
n
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
n
Good communication and organisational skills.
n

Desirable

n

n
Experience with multiple vehicle makes and models.
n
Experience using modern diagnostic equipment.
n
Current Australian Driver Licence.
n
