About the Role:
n Join Tokyo Food's agile Melbourne team in a hands-on warehouse role that offers robust operational exposure and room to grow. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and wants to develop a deep understanding of warehouse operations with the goal of stepping into a future leadership position.
n
You'll begin by supporting daily warehouse tasks such as picking, packing, stock handling, and maintaining a secure and organised workspace. As you become familiar with our processes, you'll have opportunities to take on more responsibility, contribute to workflow improvements, and support team coordination
n
Key responsibilities:
n

Prepare and pack orders accurately and efficiently in accordance with food safety protocols.
n
Assist in loading delivery vans and unloading products from containers and forklifts.
n
Perform stock rotation (FIFO) to manage product expiry dates and maintain product freshness.
n
Inspect incoming stock for quality,
temperature compliance, and damages.
n
Maintain overall organisation, cleanliness, and hygiene of the warehouse in line with food safety regulations.
n
Work in temperature-controlled environments (Freezer / Chiller).
n
Assist with regular inventory checks and create basic delivery/dispatch reports.

Requirements and skills
n
n
Valid Forklift Licence (or proven experience operating a forklift)
n
Full working rights in Australia
n
Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting and moving items up to 25kg
n
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail (especially for expiry dates and order accuracy)
n
Proficiency in English (Japanese language skills will be highly regarded but not essential)
n
Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or food distribution environment is highly desirable
n
Basic computer skills (experience with handheld scanners or WMS is a big plus)
n
