Job Description
Contract, Apprenticeship, Casual/Temporary

Ever wondered how the machines behind your favourite drinks actually work? Mechanical fitters build, repair and maintain the machines that keep things running. As a Mechanical Apprentice at our Abbotsford, VIC manufacturing site, you'll learn how everything fits together, take machines apart and put them back together again, and repair things along the way.
n
Our Apprenticeship Program is a four-year, full-time opportunity designed to kick‐start your career and place you at the heart of the team behind your favourite beverages.
n
Successful candidates will commence their apprenticeship early the following year and work towards a Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Attend and complete all RTO requirements contributing to earning your qualification
n
Collaborate with the maintenance team
n
Assist in problem-solving and the execution of assigned work
n
Investigate and escalate equipment or machine related issues to the appropriate specialist or manager
n
Study drawings and specifications to identify suitable materials, methods, and the sequence of operations
n
Fit fabricated metal parts into products and assemble metal parts and subassemblies to manufacture machines and equipment
n
Participate in risk assessments to contribute to ongoing improvements in machine and process safety
n
Ensure compliance with job specifications, maintaining a high standard of quality in all work performed
n
Follow and apply all protected working procedures and practices consistently
n
