About the Role

n

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established food manufacturing business. Working within a modern production facility, you'll be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability through preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a permanent opportunity offering long‐term stability, overtime opportunities and the chance to work within a highly automated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

n
Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
n
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise production downtime.
n
Maintain conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, motors, bearings, chains, belts and pneumatic systems.
n
Complete planned maintenance tasks in line with maintenance schedules.
n
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
n




Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment availability and efficiency.
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role you will have:

n

n
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner or equivalent.
n
Previous experience working within an industrial manufacturing setting.
n
Solid fault‐finding and troubleshooting skills.
n
Experience with conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatic systems.
n

Previous experience within food manufacturing will be highly advantageous, however candidates from other automated manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply.
