Through our Community Impact team, we connect with and educate school students, RAC members and the wider community through programs, tools, training and partnerships that help to reduce road trauma, encourage the uptake of cleaner and more sustainable transport options, and build better connected communities..
As Community Education Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of engaging school and community-facing education and training programs that bring RAC's vision for a safer, more sustainable and better-connected WA to life. This is an opportunity to shape programs that have a genuine impact on communities across WA, from concept and business case through to delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement.
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Senior Manager Community Engagement, you will lead a small team and take ownership of RAC's community education portfolio. Day to day responsibilities include:
Designing and developing impactful education programs
that respond to community needs and align with RAC's vision, including developing business cases and piloting current initiatives.
Leading the delivery and continuous improvement of programs
by managing contracts, reporting, marketing, activations, events and program evaluation to ensure strong outcomes and return on investment.
Building strong partnerships and stakeholder relationships
across RAC, government, industry, schools and the wider community, creating opportunities to expand RAC's community impact.
Leading and supporting your team
by creating an environment where people can deliver engaging, high-quality education programs and initiatives.
Managing the community education budget
and contributing to annual planning to ensure resources are effectively deployed and aligned with divisional priorities.
Representing RAC externally
, including through community education activities, events and relevant media opportunities.
The role will require flexibility to attend offsite meetings and occasional out-of-hours or weekend events associated with community education programs.
What you will bring:
We're looking for an experienced education or community engagement professional who can combine strategic thinking, creativity and practical delivery to turn ideas into programs that make a difference.
You'll bring:
Demonstrated experience leading
school and/or community-based education or training programs
from concept through to delivery.
A strong understanding of
pedagogical and/or community development principles
and how to translate these into engaging programs for different audiences.
Strong
project, organisational and time management skills
, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across government, industry, community and internal teams.
Experience developing and delivering successful business cases for new initiatives.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt your approach to different audiences.
