We're hiring a Senior Data Engineer to operate and optimize our enterprise data warehouse and cloud analytics platform. You'll own daily BAU - ETL pipelines, SQL tuning, month-end processing and data-related support requests - while contributing to process improvement across the platform. What You'll Do

Tune and performance-test queries - conduct peer reviews on data models and code

Support month-end close and respond to ad-hoc business data requests

Contribute to release planning and continuous improvement of data engineering standards

What You'll Do

What We're After
n

Proven experience developing and supporting enterprise data warehouse and data integration solutions
n
Expert SQL: development, optimization, tuning and code review in production
n
Hands-on competency in at least two of - MS SQL, Teradata, Snowflake, Redshift or Databricks
n
High-level programming with SQL, Python, SAS, R or Java
n
Real experience with DevOps, version control (Git) and software delivery practices
n
Ability to read and apply data models, technical specs and solution designs
n

Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, IT, Statistics or Data Science

The Detail

Start: 7th September ****
n
Duration: 12 months + 1 × 12-month extension option
n
Hours: 37.5 per week
n
Location: ACT, VIC, or NSW (hybrid – minimum 3 days in office)
n
Rate: $140/h (including superannuation)
n
Security: Must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1
n
Citizenship: Australian citizen only
