Job Description
Chandler Macleod is seeking experienced Support Needs Assessors to join a Federal Government client on a full time contract starting in August **** through to December ****. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred assessments, working directly with participants to identify and articulate their support needs in a clear, evidence-based and respectful manner.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Conduct support needs assessments with participants and their representatives
n
Analyse information and external evidence to support sound, evidence-based decisions
n
Prepare clear, accurate assessment reports
n
Communicate assessment processes and outcomes clearly (virtual and face-to-face)
n
Apply relevant policies, procedures and legislative frameworks
n
Identify and elevate complex or high-risk matters
n
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support participant outcomes
n
Maintain accurate records using case management systems
n
Adapt assessment approaches to suit individual participant needs
n
n
About You
n
You will bring:
n
n
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
Experience in assessment, interviewing or case management




n
Ability to interpret evidence and provide clear, defensible recommendations
n
A commitment to person-centred, inclusive and trauma-informed practice
n
Sound judgement, professionalism and ethical integrity
n
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
n
Experience working within or knowledge of NDIS or similar frameworks (highly regarded)
n

Essential Requirements
n
n
Recognised tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, such as:n
n
Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology
n
Social Work, Counselling,
Psychology/Psychotherapy
n
Exercise Physiology, Dietetics, Rehabilitation Counselling
n
Nursing (RN/EN), Education-qualified clinicians
n
NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner
n
n
Experience in support needs assessments or similar frameworks
n
Understanding of person-centred and strengths-based approaches
n
n
