Interior Designer / Design Consultant – Joinery & Kitchens (Mandarin)

AEON Homes is a design-led custom joinery studio creating premium kitchens, wardrobes, cabinetry, doors and wall panelling for high-end Australian homes. From our 400 m2 showroom at Home HQ Artarmon, we run a complete design–manufacture–installation model, backed by our own Australia–China design and production network.

The role

Full-time, 5 days per week, including one weekend day each week — our peak consultation time
n
Based at our Artarmon showroom, reporting directly to management
n
n
What you'll do
n
n
Welcome and consult with residential clients in our showroom
n
Develop bespoke joinery and interior design concepts for kitchens, wardrobes, cabinetry, doors and wall panelling
n
Present design direction, finishes and solutions in a explicit, client-focused way
n
Prepare design presentations, quotations and documentation
n
Guide clients from design approval through to signed agreement and production deposit
n
Coordinate with our design, production and installation teams in Australia and China, so approved designs are built and installed exactly as intended
n
Maintain a strong command of materials, finishes and high-end joinery detail
n
n
What you'll bring
n
n
Around 3 years' experience in interior design, kitchen/joinery design, cabinetry or a related residential design role
n




A portfolio of residential interior or custom joinery work (required with your application)
n
Strong spatial-planning skills and an eye for materiality, proportion and detail
n
Confidence building trust face-to-face and presenting solutions that support a sale
n
Professional fluency in Mandarin and English, spoken and written — you'll consult with Mandarin-speaking clients and coordinate daily with our China-based design and production team
n
3D visualisation and documentation skills highly regarded: 3ds Max, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Cabinet Vision or similar
n
A collaborative, commercially minded approach
n
Full Australian working rights, or a temporary visa with full-time work rights (e.g. subclass 485). Employer sponsorship (Skills in Demand, subclass 482) may be considered for the right candidate.

What we offer

Uncapped commission: 0.8% of the net order value (ex-GST) of every client order you design
n
The same commission rate whether the lead is assigned to you or self-generated — and qualified leads are supplied to you
n
Commission paid monthly, on the 5th of the month following client design sign-off
n
Realistic first-year on-target earnings of $120,000–$135,000
n

End-to-end exposure to design, manufacture and installation across our Australia–China network
