Gensler's Critical Facilities team is looking for a Project Architect to join our team.
n
What You Will Do
n
n
An integral part of the design team that leads towards a cohesive and rational design solution which conforms to the project brief and is technically, legally and financially responsible.
n
Manage communication and lead coordination between project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants
n
Resolve complex technical and design issues with team to produce innovative, technical, constructible solutions
n
Direct production of drawings, specifications and construction administration tasks
n
Responsible for delivery of documents with design intent and top‐notch technical quality
n
Process
submittals/substitution
requests during construction and address RFIs
n
Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project
n
Based on a very good understanding of local and national codes, be able to guide the team to design in alignment with the requirements.
n
Mentoring and coaching junior team members
n
Actively participate and contribute to the financial performance of project
n
Review and contribute to proposals and contracts with the Design Manager
n
Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships through successful project delivery
n
Participation in business development effort
n
Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.
n

Your Qualifications
n




n
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, or equivalent
n
Minimum 5 years of related project experience, especially in data centers or other critical facilities projects.
n
Effective communicator, collaborative, and team conscious.
n
Ability to handle difficult situations with tact, grace, and emotional intelligence.
n
Excellent analytical and problem‐solving skills.
n
Strong proficiency with Revit experience desired, BIM360 Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) Microsoft Office experience desired. Sketchup, Rhino, Enscape, VRay are also beneficial.
n
Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and parametric design software, including Grasshopper, a plus
n
Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building codes specific to core and shell architecture is required.
n
Extensive experience in construction document preparation, including detailing and field observation.
n
Essential knowledge of applicable engineering disciplines.
n
Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices required
