Metroplant & Civil Services is seeking an experienced HR or MR Truck Driver / Civil Labourer to join our team based from our Highett / Sunshine North.

This is a hands-on role combining truck driving with civil construction labouring. It is not a driving-only position, and the successful applicant must be willing to work alongside the crew throughout the day.

Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Driving HR or MR trucks to and from worksites
n
Transporting plant, materials, spoil and equipment
n
Loading and unloading construction materials
n
Completing daily vehicle pre-starts and reporting faults
n
Towing plant and equipment where required
n
Assisting with concrete reinstatement works
n
Helping with footpaths, kerb and channel, pram crossings and vehicle crossings
n
Using hand and power tools
n
Site clean-up and general labouring
n
Working safely around pedestrians, traffic and existing services
n
n
The successful applicant will have:
n
n
A current HR or MR licence
n
Previous truck driving experience
n
A Construction Industry White Card
n
Experience in civil construction or labouring
n
Positive physical fitness
n
A reliable and safety-focused attitude
n
The ability to work well as part of a crew
n
Reliable transport to our Highett yard
n
Experience with concrete works, civil maintenance, plant transport or council projects will be highly regarded.
