Sales Assistant
to join our Geebung store on a casual basis.
This is a customer-facing retail role requiring a high level of communication, computer literacy, written accuracy and independent judgement. You will be expected to confidently assist customers, process detailed enquiries, use multiple computer systems and help resolve customer issues professionally.

What you'll be doing
Providing knowledgeable and professional assistance to customers in-store, by phone and through online enquiries
Identifying customer requirements and recommending suitable products and solutions
Handling more detailed customer enquiries, complaints and service issues with professionalism and sound judgement
Processing sales, payments, returns and other transactions accurately using point-of-sale and computer systems
Reading and interpreting product information, customer requests, supplier information and internal procedures
Writing clear and professional customer messages, emails, notes and other business communication
Using retail, e-commerce and other computer systems confidently and accurately




Maintaining accurate product, customer and inventory information
Restocking products and assisting with stock control and inventory management
Maintaining high standards of product presentation, shelving and visual merchandising
Supporting promotional activities and other day-to-day store operations
Working independently where required and assisting other team members during busy periods
Following company procedures while using appropriate judgement to resolve day-to-day customer and operational issues
What we're looking for
We are looking for someone with
strong, developed skills
, rather than someone requiring training in basic workplace communication or computer use.
Advanced customer service skills, with the confidence to manage a wide range of customers, enquiries and situations
Strong spoken communication skills, including the ability to explain products and technical information clearly
Strong reading comprehension, with the ability to accurately understand detailed product information, written instructions, procedures and customer enquiries
Strong written communication skills, including professional spelling, grammar and the ability to write clear customer emails and messages without extensive assistance
High computer literacy, with the ability to confidently learn and use multiple software platforms, web-based systems and retail applications
Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately enter, check and manage information
Good numeracy and confidence handling sales transactions, pricing and payments




Ability to prioritise tasks, solve routine problems and work with limited supervision
Professional judgement when dealing with customer concerns or situations requiring a suitable resolution
Reliability, punctuality and the ability to take responsibility for assigned tasks
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also working independently when required
Previous retail, sales or customer service experience is highly regarded
Knowledge of RC hobby products is advantageous but not required
