This role will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for both metal and tiled roofing projects, across residential and commercial construction.

This role will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for both metal and tiled roofing projects, across residential and commercial construction.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Prepare detailed estimates for metal and tiled roofing projects.
n
Review architectural drawings, engineering plans and project specifications.
n
Complete accurate roof measurements and material take-offs.
n
Price roofing materials, labour, equipment, subcontractors and associated works.
n
Prepare quotations for residential and commercial projects.
n
Estimate fascia, gutter, flashings, box gutters, drainage, roof ventilation and related roofing components.
n
Liaise with suppliers and internal team members.
n
Obtain supplier and subcontractor pricing when required.
n
Review tender documentation and identify exclusions, risks or unusual project requirements.
n
Maintain current pricing schedules and estimating records.
n
Assist with variations and revised quotations throughout the project.
n
Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive and completed within required timeframes.
n
Provide explicit job handovers to the operations and project management teams.

About You
n
The below skills will be advantageous and beneficial for the role:

Previous experience as a construction estimator.
n
Strong knowledge of both metal and tiled roofing systems.
n
Experience estimating residential and commercial roofing projects is a positive
n
The ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
n
Strong measurement, take-off and numerical skills.
n
Knowledge of roofing materials, labour requirements and installation processes.
n
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
n
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
n
The ability to manage multiple quotations and deadlines.
n
Confident communication skills when dealing with builders, suppliers and subcontractors.
n
Experience using estimating, construction or CRM software.
n
Competency with Microsoft Excel and general computer systems.
n
The ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment.
n
n
Experience using digital roof measurement or estimating software will be highly regarded.
n
