Here at C2O Group, we're construction and commissioning specialists supporting major energy and infrastructure projects across Australia and internationally. With a growing portfolio of gas-fired, renewable and large-scale infrastructure projects, we're looking for an experienced EH&S; Lead to support operations and maintenance on a newly commissioned power station in NSW.

About the Role
n
As HSE Lead, you'll be responsible for managing health, safety and environmental performance during early operations and maintenance phases of the plant. You'll work closely with O&M; teams, client representatives and contractors to ensure all activities are carried out safely and in compliance with site procedures, legislative obligations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Provide day-to-day EH&S; leadership across O&M; activities on site
n
Ensure safe systems of work are implemented and followed by site teams
n
Conduct toolbox talks, safety inspections, audits and incident investigations
n
Monitor contractor compliance and drive a robust, proactive safety culture
n




Ensure alignment with WHS legislation, environmental obligations and client frameworks
n
Report safety metrics, analyse trends and lead continuous improvement initiatives
n
Support operational readiness, maintenance shutdowns and routine plant activities
n

What We're Looking For
n
n
Proven experience in a senior EH&S; role within power generation, energy or heavy industrial operations
n
Strong understanding of WHS legislation, environmental compliance and risk management
n
Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)
n
Formal training in incident investigation (e.g., ICAM) preferred
n
Clear communicator with the ability to engage teams at all levels
n
Experience supporting O&M; teams on gas, thermal or industrial plants is highly regarded
n
