AWAHS is launching an exciting new 'Journey to Motherhood' Program to provide culturally secure, wraparound care for Aboriginal women and women carrying Aboriginal babies throughout pregnancy, birth and early parenting.

n

This is an chance to join a passionate multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal women, babies and families while creating lasting change for future generations.

n

As the Journey to Motherhood program Social Worker, you will provide culturally safe, trauma informed support to Aboriginal women and families throughout pregnancy, birth and early parenting.

n

You will work closely with women experiencing complex life circumstances by providing counselling, advocacy,



care coordination and practical support while working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

n

You will have

Bachelor of Social Work
n
Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
n
Experience working with families, maternal health, community health or vulnerable clients
n
Strong counselling, assessment and case management skills
