About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for the accurate and compliant delivery of end-to-end payroll while also providing broader support across finance operations.
Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will play a key role in ensuring payroll processes run smoothly while contributing to reporting, reconciliations and ongoing process improvements.
Key responsibilities include:
End-to-end payroll processing including pay runs, leave administration, adjustments and terminations
Responding to payroll enquiries and providing a high level of customer service to employees
Maintaining accurate payroll records and resolving payroll discrepancies
Ensuring payroll compliance with relevant legislation, policies and employment agreements
Completing payroll reconciliations, month-end reporting and variance analysis
Preparing payroll reporting, analytics and statutory returns
Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes, systems and efficiencies
Assisting with finance administration, reconciliations, project work and team support as required

To be successful, you will bring:
Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end payroll processes
Strong understanding of payroll legislation, compliance requirements and payroll best practice
Experience preparing reconciliations, reports and financial information
High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
A proactive approach and a desire to continuously improve processes and outcomes
Highly regarded:
Experience using TASS payroll software
Experience interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements
