About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established technology organisation based in Melbourne's western suburbs. Working within a collaborative finance team, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and commercial insights that support strategic decision-making.

This contract role is ideal for a commercially minded accountant who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, improving financial processes and contributing to business performance within a fast-paced technology environment. Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management reports, financial analysis and performance dashboards.
n
Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes.
n
Deliver meaningful commercial insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
n
Partner with operational leaders to support strategic and financial decision-making.
n
Assist with month-end and year-end reporting activities.
n
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial accuracy.
n
Monitor financial performance against budgets and identify opportunities for improvement.
n




Support cash flow forecasting and financial planning activities.
n
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes, reporting and systems.
n
Assist with ad hoc financial projects and business initiatives as required.
n

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
n
n
CA or CPA qualification (or be working towards completion).
n
Previous experience in a Management Accountant or Finance Business Partner role.
n
Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling capability.
n
Advanced Excel skills and experience using Xero.
n
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across the business.
n
Experience within a technology, services or fast-paced commercial environment will be highly regarded.
n
The ability to work independently while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
n
