With a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and operational excellence, they are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their manufacturing team based in Chipping Nortonfacility

About the Role
n
This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation. You will play a key role in minimising downtime, supporting production performance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Working Hours & Pay
n
n
Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm
n
Overtime required as needed
n
Weekend work required when necessary (e.g. shutdown work)
n
$***** per hour + applicable overtime rates
n
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant and equipment
n
Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs
n
Replace or fabricate components as required
n
Conduct inspections and servicing to prevent failures
n
Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns
n
Assist with tooling changes and production line start-ups
n




Participate in shift changeovers
n
Maintain accurate maintenance records
n
Monitor and manage maintenance consumables and spare parts
n
Promote and uphold a strong safety culture
n
n
Skills and Experience
n
Mandatory Requirements:
n
n
Mechanical Fitting Trade Qualification (MERSITAB or equivalent)
n
Experience with Permit to Work systems
n
Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) knowledge
n
High Risk Forklift Licence
n
n
Highly Regarded:
n
n
Restricted Electrical Licence
n
Experience in manufacturing, extrusion, or automation environments
n
PVC granulation or mixing experience
n
High Risk Bridge and Gantry Crane Licence
n
High Risk EWP Licence
n
Experience using ERP systems (JDE, MEX or similar)
n
n

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
n
Safety-focused with strong risk awareness
n
Self-motivated and proactive
n
Sound written, verbal, and basic computer skills
