Paddington Food Hall is looking for acapable, energetic and people-focused Store Managerto take ownership of the day-to-day running of our store.
This is a hands-on management role for someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, working alongside their team, looking after customers and making sure everything runs smoothly.
We are looking for someone who canlead by example, take responsibility for the store and create a positive, well-organised environment where both customers and staff enjoy coming to the store.
About the Role
As Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operation of the store.
You will work closely with your team to maintain high standards, deliver excellent customer service and ensure the store performs strongly.
Your responsibilities will include:
Taking ownership of the daily operation and presentation of the store
Leading, motivating and supporting the store team
Organising staff, allocating tasks and managing daily workflow
Preparing and managing staff rosters to ensure the store is appropriately staffed
Ensuring shelves are well stocked, products are presented attractively and the store is maintained to a high standard
Monitoring sales, wages, margins, stock levels and other key areas of store performance
Managing stock ordering, receiving deliveries and maintaining effective stock control
Working with suppliers to ensure reliable stock availability
Implementing promotions and merchandising initiatives to maximise sales




Training and developing staff and providing ongoing guidance and feedback
Maintaining high standards of customer service and dealing confidently with customer enquiries and complaints
Ensuring food safety, workplace health and safety and company procedures are followed
Identifying issues and opportunities and taking initiative to improve the store
Working closely with the owners/management to achieve the store's operational and financial goals
About You
We are looking for someone who isa natural leader and a great operator.
You don't necessarily need to have worked in a large supermarket or held a particular management title.
What matters most is that you have the experience, maturity and confidence torun a store, lead a team and get things done.
You will ideally have:
At least2–3 years' experience in a store management, assistant management or senior supervisory role
Strong leadership skills and the ability to bring out the best in your team
A hands-on approach and willingness to work alongside the team when required
Good commercial awareness and an understanding of sales, wages, margins and stock
Experience with stock ordering,



stock control and merchandising
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
The ability to prioritize and stay calm in a busy environment
Excellent communication and people skills
A positive attitude and a genuine commitment to customer service
The confidence to make decisions and take responsibility
The ability to identify problems and find practical solutionsThe ability to identify problems and find practical solutions
Previous supermarket, grocery, food retail or similar experience will be highly regarded
