Shipping Container Pools is seeking a skilledComposite Laminator Fibreglassto join our manufacturing team at our Coolum Beach facility.
This is afull-time positionoffering a unique opportunity to work on innovative pool products that combine creativity with precision craftsmanship.
You will play a vital role in our production process, transforming raw materials into high-quality fibreglass composite products that form the core of our distinctive shipping container pools.
This role is based on-site at ourCoolum Beach, QLD ****location, where you will be part of a collaborative team committed to excellence and innovation in the manufacturing sector.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and apply fibreglass materials to moulds and substrate surfaces using established lamination techniques
Mix resin and catalyst compounds to the correct specifications, ensuring consistency and quality in all batches
Operate and maintain composite lamination equipment, including spray equipment, rollers and other application tools
Monitor curing times and environmental conditions to ensure optimal composite material performance
Conduct quality inspections of finished laminates, identifying and rectifying any defects or inconsistencies
Maintain a clean and safe work workplace, adhering to all health and safety protocols and procedures
Follow detailed work instructions and specifications to ensure products meet design requirements and quality standards
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve production issues and meet production targets
Undertake routine maintenance and cleaning of tools,



equipment and work areas
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Composite Laminator or Fibreglass Technician, with a solid understanding of lamination processes and techniques
Knowledge of fibreglass materials, resins, catalysts and other composite materials used in manufacturing
Competency in operating lamination equipment and composite production tools
Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce work of consistent quality and precision
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and work instructions
Good physical fitness and manual dexterity, as the role involves repetitive hand movements and lifting
Excellent health and safety awareness and commitment to working practices that prioritise workplace safety
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a manufacturing environment
Reliability and punctuality, with a commitment to meeting production deadlines
Relevant qualifications or certifications in composite or fibreglass work are highly valued, though not essential if you have substantial practical experience
