About the role
The Administration Officer is accountable to the Administrative Manager, Corporate Administrative Services, for the provision of a confidential secretarial, reception, and administrative service to Paediatric Outpatient Services.
Tasks include coordinating and managing patient appointments, updating and collecting patient demographics, checking in/out clinic appointments, processing billing orders, processing data integrity reports, and making corrections.
Key duties of the role
Provide a comprehensive,
confidential medical administrative service to Paediatric Outpatient Services
Ensuring the maintenance of confidential patient Unit Records by accurate filing of reports, results, and tracking to the appropriate departments.
Continuous Staff Development, including ongoing education & training
Record Management and support and actively participate in a safe work environment within the department
Assist in the general efficient and effective running of Paediatric Outpatient Services
Skills and Experience
Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and Teams
Demonstrated administrative experience in an administrative-type role
Effective interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
Demonstrated organisational, problem-solving and prioritisation skills, with ability to work under pressure
Understanding of patient rights, confidentiality, OHSW, Equal Opportunity, Code of Ethics and diversity
