Job Description:
We are looking for a special kind of person – a St Vincent's kind of person.

As a Senior Chef you'll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of St Vincent's Care Services Eltham.
St Vincent's Care Services Eltham is just 20 kilometres north-east of Melbourne's city centre and is well known for its vast amount of green space.
We provide a welcoming and inclusive community where our residents enjoy the comfort of a relaxed lifestyle.

This is a Permanent Part Time opportunity with 38 hours/fortnight with potential to increase to Full Time.
Things that work for us:
High volume cooking experience
Flexibility to manage special dietary requirements
Ensure compliance with food safety hygiene standards
Trade qualification in Commercial cooking and experience in fine dining or Hotels (preferred)
Current FSS Certificate (Food Safety Supervisor)
Roster management and working within approved budget while the head chef is away
Be part of the leadership team in ensuring a superior dining service
Maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff
Previous experience in an aged care facility or bistro/hotel; ideally five years or more (desirable)
An ability to work a multidisciplinary team within a fast-paced environment
Ability to lead under pressure
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus, with an ability to implement change and drive a strong team culture;
National Police Certificate




NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role.
