We are looking for a
proactive, curious and technically minded Assistant Accountant
to join our finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with
2–3 years' accounting experience
, or someone currently working in
audit or professional services
who is looking to make the move into
industry financial accounting
.
Working within a
fast-moving, skilled and growth focused environment
, you will work closely with the broader finance and business teams and gain exposure to the full accounting cycle
What you'll be doing:
Preparing
account reconciliations
across AP, AR, balance sheet and clearing accounts.
Processing
journal entries, accruals and prepayments.
Supporting
month-end close
and ensuring accounts are accurate and reconciled.
Performing
bank and transactional reconciliations.
Preparing clear and accurate
workpapers
for review.
Supporting AP/AR and investigating variances and discrepancies.
Assisting with
inventory reconciliations, cash analysis and financial reporting.
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and working papers.
Job Description
What we're looking for:
You'll be a
self-starter who is disciplined, engaged and proactive
, with a genuine hunger to learn and develop your accounting career.
You'll have:
2–3 years' accounting experience
, ideally within a
private equity
,
larger organisations
,
ASX listed businesses,
or
professional services
or
auditing.
Strong understanding of
reconciliations, journals, accruals,
prepayments and month-end.
Strong
Excel skills
, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP and SUMIFS.
Experience working with an
ERP system
such as SAP, Pronto or similar.
Experience preparing
accounting workpapers.
A relevant
Accounting, Finance or Business degree.
CA/CPA
studies commenced, or a genuine intention to commence.
