Unasco Pty Ltd, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team in Girraween, NSW. As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our production equipment, ensuring efficient and reliable operations. This full-time role is an integral part of our well-established Trades & Services team.

What you'll be doing

Performing scheduled and preventive maintenance on a variety of production machinery and equipment
n
Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and implementing appropriate solutions
n
Conducting inspections, testing, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance of equipment
n
Documenting maintenance activities and providing detailed reports on the condition of equipment
n
Collaborating with the production team to minimise downtime and maintain seamless operations
n
Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure work environment
n
Providing guidance and mentoring to junior members of the maintenance team
n

What we're looking for

n





n
Formal qualification in mechanical engineering or a related trade, such as a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent
n
Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) as a Maintenance Fitter or Mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial setting
n
Proficient in the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of production equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
n
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
n
Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
n
Commitment to workplace health and safety, with a proactive approach to risk management
n
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, energetic environment and adapt to changing priorities
