About The Role
n
We are seeking an experienced Shift Technician to join our Maintenance team at our Horsley Park facility.
n
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this full-time permanent role plays a key part in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving our high-speed production equipment, with a strong focus on electrical fault finding, plant reliability, and operational performance.
n
Working in a fast-paced FMCG environment, you'll be responsible for fault finding, breakdown response, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating closely with production teams and contractors.
n
Work Pattern (Rotating Roster)
n
This role operates on a structured rotating 12-hour shift pattern across day and night shifts, including:
n

6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Day Shift)
n
6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (Night Shift)
n
A consistent rotating roster
n
n
You must be able to commit to working both day and night shifts as part of this rotating roster.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Maintenance & Operations
n
n
Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime
n
Deliver planned and preventative maintenance across the site
n
Maintain maintenance systems including work orders and schedules
n




Monitor equipment performance and identify improvement opportunities
n
Work closely with production teams to support reliable operations
n
n
Technical & Continuous Improvement
n
n
Diagnose and rectify faults across electrical, PLC, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
n
Drive continuous improvement to optimise plant performance
n
Support operators with technical guidance to improve equipment use
n
n
Contractor Coordination
n
n
Supervise and coordinate contractors, ensuring safe and compliant work practices
n
n
Safety, Quality & Compliance
n
n
Promote a strong safety culture and adhere to WHS requirements
n
Ensure all work meets food safety and quality standards (HACCP & GMP)
n
Identify and address unsafe conditions
n
Participate in incident investigations and reporting
n
n
About You
n
n
Current Electrical Licence highly regarded
n
Trade-qualified in a relevant discipline
n
Strong electrical fault-finding experience within a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment
n
Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment, pneumatics, and hydraulics
n
Strong experience in preventative and scheduled maintenance systems
n
Ability to troubleshoot and respond under pressure
n




Strong collaboration skills with production teams and contractors
n
