Role Description

n

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Telecommunications Technician. You'll be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining communications cabling and network infrastructure across a range of projects. Scope includes rough-in and fit-off of communications systems, including troubleshooting, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and repair of existing installations.

Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

n

Install, terminate, label, and test structured cabling (Cat6/Cat6A and fibre optic)
n
Install communications hardware including racks, patch panels, outlets, and cable management systems
n
Perform fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on communications systems
n
Read and interpret technical drawings, plans,



and specifications
n
Complete testing and certification documentation to industry standards
n
Ensure all works are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard
n
Liaise professionally with clients, site supervisors, and team members
n

Successful Candidate Must Have:

n

n
Proven experience as a Communications Technician, Data Cabler, or similar role
n
Solid Site Experience
n
Robust knowledge of structured cabling and communications infrastructure
n
Experience with fibre optic installation and testing (highly regarded)
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
n
White Card (required)
n
Open Cabling Registration (ACMA) with relevant endorsements (required)
n
Current driver's licence (required)
n
Security licence (desirable)
