Dyce Energy is seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Manager to lead our Clermont workshop operations. This is a hands‐on leadership role suited to a trade‐qualified professional with strong heavy mechanical experience and the ability to drive productivity, safety, and team performance in a rapid‐paced environment.

Our workshop specialises in heavy diesel mechanical repairs, breakdown response, machine overhauls, diagnostics, and maintenance support for mining, civil, and earthmoving equipment across the Bowen Basin.

About the Role
n
As Workshop Manager, you will oversee the day‐to‐day operations of a busy heavy repair workshop while supporting and mentoring a team of diesel fitters and apprentices. You will ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily workshop operations and job scheduling
n
Lead, mentor, and support workshop personnel
n
Coordinate heavy mechanical repairs, rebuilds, and preventative maintenance
n
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
n
Monitor workshop productivity, quality, and downtime performance
n
Liaise with customers regarding repair progress and technical issues
n
Maintain workshop equipment, tooling, and inventory control
n
Assist with diagnostics and hands‐on repairs when required
n

Skills & Experience
n
n
Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic
n
Previous experience in a workshop leadership or supervisory role
