We're hiring
a Venue Manager
to join The Star Brisbane, a world-class hospitality destination in the heart of the city.

The Venue Manager, reporting to the Operations Manager, offers a unique opportunity to supervise the installation, set up and maintenance of all audio-visual production across the property.
In this role you will efficiently address all event and entertainment production requirements, support property audio-visual distribution systems, hotel in room technology and activations.
This is a fantastic opportunity where you will showcase your problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
A few of your responsibilities:
Lead and support the department in the achievement of financial and operational targets via effective organisational development, policy and procedural development, and appropriate team member training activities.
Recommend strategies to direct line manager with regard to increasing repeat patronage of customers.
Clearly demonstrate to customers and team members a commitment to service excellence through the effective implementation and delivery of The Star's Standards at all times.
Attract and develop talent and own the performance of your team
Manage the selection, training and development of all team members to ensure timely recruitment and career growth.
Overall responsibility for financial KPOs and KPIs relating to gross revenue, costs of goods sold, employee costs and other operating costs in line with budget.
What are we looking for:




Proven leadership experience and the ability to develop large teams including succession planning, retention, and growth strategies
Demonstrated ability in planning and resourcing people and products, performance management, controlling labour costs and operating expenses
Experience in developing productive relationships and managing and driving change
Experience in managing high-end award-winning restaurants, bars, or outlet
Versatile availability to meet the demands of a 24/7 business
