Nextt is looking for an experienced
Senior Disability Support Worker / Team Leader
to join our Ballarat team on a
6-month maternity leave contract
, with the potential for the position to be extended.
Working within a
Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment
, you'll play an important role in supporting participants to live fulfilling and independent lives, while also providing guidance and support to the wider team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on with participants but is also ready to take on additional responsibility and help others succeed.
What You'll Be Doing
Deliver high-quality, person-centred support across daily living, personal care and community participation
Encourage and empower participants to work towards their individual goals




Lead by example and provide guidance, mentoring and support to other team members
Help ensure support plans, behaviour support strategies and allied health recommendations are followed
Assist with team communication, handovers and day-to-day coordination
Complete relevant documentation, reporting and administrative tasks
Help foster a positive, respectful and supportive team environment
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is confident, dependable and passionate about making a difference.
You'll ideally have:
Previous experience in a senior Disability Support Worker, Team Leader or similar role
Experience working within a SIL or complex support environment
Strong communication and leadership skills
A genuine commitment to person-centred support
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Victorian Working with Children Check (Employee)
Driver's Licence & Comprehensive Car Insurance
