YOUR ROLE
A Senior Consultant – Advisory is responsible for conducting complex Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) activities, within large and complex Government and Commercial projects. This role plays a critical part in proactively striving to improve the security capabilities within client organisations,
delivering high quality outcomes, and ensuring consultants are performing to their maximum potential while continuously developing strong stakeholder relationships with client key stakeholders across the Thales Group.
Governance Risk and Compliance Assessments
Incident Response, Business Continuity Management / IT Disaster Recovery
Risk Assessment and Strategy Development
Provide quality reports for the client suitable for both executive and technical audience
Maintain knowledge of the wider capabilities and services offering across the Thales Group to provide a multi-service engagement
Participating in vulnerability assessments, risk assessments, and remediation activities
Contributing to security documentation, policies, and procedures
Working collaboratively with IT, risk, and business stakeholders
Learning and applying relevant frameworks (e.g. ASD Essential Eight, ISM)
What You'll Bring
Ideally 2-3 years' experience in cyber security / ICT roles or equivalent in other industries
Ability to apply best practice frameworks such as ISO *****, NIST CSF, ASD Essential Eight
Ability to produce high standard of work on cyber security or other related Governance, Risk and Compliance projects with little to no supervision
Skilled certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, ISO***** LA/LI, PCIDSS QSA) or be in the process of attaining
Ability to speak about security confidently and accurately and to recommend security controls to experienced security professionals and executives
Knowledge of the risks involved with incorporating AI models.
Ability to work as a team with decisions made to support moving toward common goals
Flexibility and motivation to work across several types of engagements
Australian Government security clearance (or eligibility to obtain one)
