Job Description
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded Senior Financial Accountant to join a highly regarded ASX-listed property organisation with a strong market reputation, premium asset portfolio and an exceptional workplace culture.

Reporting to a Finance Manager and working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, this role offers a broad mix of financial reporting, tax, audit coordination and business partnering responsibilities. It is ideally suited to a high-performing accountant looking to make their second move from professional practice or take the next step from a Financial Accountant position into a more senior and commercially focused role.

Key Responsibilities.
n
n
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for multiple entities within the group.
n
Assist with ASX reporting requirements, including half-year and year-end reporting processes.
n
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
n
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and corporate policies.
n
Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting activities.
n
n
Tax & Compliance
n
n
Prepare and review BAS, IAS and other indirect tax obligations.
n
Assist with income tax calculations and tax effect accounting.
n
Liaise with external tax advisors on compliance and advisory matters.
n
Monitor changes in accounting and tax legislation and assess business impacts.
n
n
Audit & Controls
n
n
Coordinate external audit processes and manage auditor requests.
n
Assist in the preparation of audit files and technical accounting papers.
n
Support the ongoing enhancement of financial controls, policies and procedures.
n
Ensure compliance with internal governance frameworks and risk requirements.
n
n
Business Partnering
n
n
Partner with asset management, property, operations and commercial teams across the business.
n
Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
n
Assist with investment, development and acquisition-related financial analysis.
n
Support stakeholders with budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.
n
n
Process Improvement
n
n
Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and financial processes.
n
Participate in finance transformation and systems enhancement initiatives.
n
Contribute to continuous improvement projects across the finance function.
n

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
n
n
CA or CPA qualification (CA highly regarded).
n
4-7 years' accounting experience.
n
A background in Audit, Business Services or Financial Accounting.
n
Experience within property, real estate, funds management or a listed environment will be highly regarded.
n
Solid technical accounting and financial reporting capability.
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
A proactive and commercially minded approach.
n
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large ERP systems.
n
