Contracts Manager – Telecommunications / Infrastructure

An excellent prospect has become available for an experienced
Contracts Manager
to join a major organisation supporting telecommunications and infrastructure projects.
Working closely with project teams and reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you will provide commercial and contractual support across project delivery, supply chain management, claims, variations and commercial risk.
This is a
hybrid position
, ideally based in Melbourne, with the office located close to Richmond Station.
The initial contract runs through to
31 December ****
, with potential for extension or permanency for the right person.
The Role You will act as a key commercial interface between project teams, clients and subcontractors, providing practical commercial advice and ensuring contractual obligations are effectively managed.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing commercial and contractual support to project teams
Managing commercial relationships with clients and the supply chain
Leading negotiations relating to
variations, claims and contract renewals
Developing strategies for potential and emerging contractual disputes
Identifying and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
Supporting contract administration, policies, processes and procedures
Managing subcontractor onboarding and preparation of supply chain contracts and work orders
Supporting revenue assurance initiatives and minimising revenue leakage
Ensuring relevant statutory and contractual compliance
Working closely with operational, legal, finance and other internal stakeholders
Building strong relationships with customers and project stakeholders
About You To be successful, you will bring:
5+ years' experience in commercial and contract management
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to drive commercial outcomes
Sound understanding of
contract and construction law
Experience with project commercial administration
Demonstrated experience managing claims, variations, negotiations and contractual issues
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to work autonomously and hit the ground running
A practical, collaborative and customer-focused approach
Previous experience within
telecommunications and/or construction
will be highly regarded.
